You're in great shape, so enjoy your taper, rest up, fuel up and go for it.Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04350841837453498786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19820661.post-1164857009726282392006-11-29T21:23:00.000-06:002006-11-29T21:23:00.000-06:00Yeah, what they all said. :)Don't beat yourself up...Yeah, what they all said. :)

Don't beat yourself up too much...you definitely did the right thing rather than sludging through it this close to your race. Your race is the day that really counts, and remember all the miles that you have put in so far...one bad run is bound to happen, but what would make it a really bad run is if you kept going and got sick/hurt.

Taper up, my friend....almost there! :)

I'm with ya on the mountain biking! I think I over plan as far as eating and taking powergel/gatoraid with me. I hit "the wall" big time on a 56 mile bike ride once (almost and ER moment) since then I always eat and drink plenty.Lance Notstronghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05329233052728447291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19820661.post-1164822485256158812006-11-29T11:48:00.000-06:002006-11-29T11:48:00.000-06:00When you're feeling that crummy, it's okay to shor...When you're feeling that crummy, it's okay to shorten the run. Long runs should only be performed when everything is operating smoothly, otherwise you're just breaking yourself down when you want to be recovering.

Sounds like an XTERRA triathlon is in your future with that mountain bike?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
